ABOUT ANDRIAKE (Ancient City)

Why did we name our product after this antique city? Many historical artifacts belonging to the Paleolithic Age, Polished Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Antiquity, Middle Ages, New Age, and Modern Age periods can be seen throughout Turkey.

Turkey is home to many ancient cities. Because the "Turkish Towel" has become a world-famous product, by naming our products with the names of Turkey's historical values, we want to promote making these historical monuments known to many people.

Andriake is an ancient Lycian city located 5 km from the Demre district of Antalya province. Andriake, one of the most important ports of Lycia, is known as Çayağzı today.

Andriake entered the pages of history when the Seleucid Dynasty King Antiochus III captured the city from the Ptolemies in 197 BC. In 60 CE, St. Paulus came to Myra on his way to Rome and changed ships in Andriake. In ancient times, it was an important port of the Lycian Region, like the cities of Patara and Phaselis. Rather than being a separate city of the Ancient Period, it was an outer quarter and port of Myra.
