The Andriake is a jacquard-woven Turkish peshtemal featuring an intricate floral circular pattern woven structurally into the fabric. The two-tone design renders detailed floral motifs in natural/cream against a solid background — color-fast and durable. Available in 300g (20/1 yarn) and 400g (20/2 yarn), with pre-washed or unwashed finish.

ABOUT ANDRIAKE

Andriake was an ancient Lycian port city located 5 km from present-day Demre, Antalya Province, Turkey — known today as Çayağzı. One of the most important ports of ancient Lycia alongside Patara and Phaselis, it served as the outer harbor of Myra rather than an independent city. Antiochus III of the Seleucid Dynasty captured it from the Ptolemies in 197 BC. In 60 CE, St. Paul stopped at Andriake to change ships on his voyage to Rome.
