Lagina Turkish Towel Peshtemal — Three-Color Stripe Design

The Lagina peshtemal is structured around a three-color repeating stripe composition. Across the main body, three weft colors cycle in broad bands — Color 1, Color 2, and Color 3 — creating a layered stripe pattern with visual depth. Near each short edge, the same Color 2 appears as thinner stripes, forming a border accent that ties the fringe area to the center pattern. Folded in half, the short-edge stripes align symmetrically. Woven in 100% Turkish cotton at our Denizli factory with OEKO-TEX certified yarns.

COLOR OPTIONS:

The Lagina pattern uses three weft colors that define the design:

• Color 1 — first color in the repeating center band sequence
• Color 2 — middle color in the center band sequence; also forms the thin accent stripes near both short edges
• Color 3 — third color in the repeating center band sequence

In all stock options, Color 2 is cream/natural white — it does not appear in the variant names but runs as the connecting stripe within each band group and as the fringe-area accent. 10 stock Color 1 & Color 3 combinations are available:

HOW TO ORDER:

The Lagina is sold wholesale via request for quotation (RFQ). Use the Request a Quote button to submit your Color 1, Color 3, Color 2 (if not cream), quantity, and pre-wash preference. Standard minimum is 300 pieces per color combination; other quantities can be discussed in your quote request. Manufacturing lead time is 2–6 weeks from order confirmation, depending on current loom availability.

ABOUT LAGINA:

Lagina was an ancient sanctuary town in the territory of Stratonicea, in Caria (southwestern Anatolia), located near modern Turgut in Yatağan district, Muğla Province. The site held one of antiquity's most important temples of Hecate, where great annual festivals drew pilgrims from across the region. The temple's friezes — depicting scenes from the life of Zeus, a battle of gods and giants, a gathering of Carian deities, and an Amazonomachy — are now displayed in the Istanbul Archaeology Museums. Lagina was Christianised early and became a bishopric; it remains a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church today. Locals in Muğla still refer to the area as Leyne, a phonetic echo of Lagina.
