Lycia Patara is a wholesale dobby peshtemal manufactured from 100% Turkish cotton in Denizli, Turkey. The body features a striped diamond pattern — near both short edges the classic diamond weave is clearly visible, while toward the center, natural (undyed) horizontal lines cross the woven diamonds at intervals, creating an interrupted, layered effect. The result is a design that transitions across the body: clean diamonds at the edges, striped diamonds toward the middle. A single weft color is used throughout. Available in 10 ready stock colors; other palette colors available on request.

COLOR OPTIONS

The Lycia Patara is woven with a single weft color on a natural (undyed) warp. The weft color creates the diamond pattern near the edges and the interrupted stripe effect toward the center. Near both short edges, the weft also transitions to natural cotton, forming a wide natural section at each end.

Patara (Lycian: Pttara; Greek: Πάταρα) was a flourishing maritime and commercial city on the southwest coast of Lycia, on the Mediterranean coast of present-day Antalya Province, Turkey, near the modern town of Gelemiş. It is the birthplace of St. Nicholas (270 AD), who lived most of his life in the nearby city of Myra (Demre). Patara was renowned in antiquity for its oracle of Apollo — second only to Delphi — and served as the primary seaport and a leading city of the Lycian League, holding three votes, the maximum allowed.
