Telmessos Turkish Towel Peshtemal — 320g, 100% Cotton, Wholesale Gradient Weave

Telmessos is a wholesale gradient (ombré) peshtemal manufactured from 100% Turkish cotton in Denizli, Turkey. The design is built around a graduated stripe effect: at one end of the towel the colored weft stripes are dense and prominent; as the eye moves along the length of the towel, the colored stripes gradually narrow and the white warp becomes increasingly visible — creating a smooth fade from solid color to white. Each of the five stock colors produces this ombré transition, starting from its own hue and ending in white. Custom palette colors are available on request.

Please note: slight variations in size and weight may occur due to the nature of the weaving process.

COLOR OPTIONS

The gradient effect is produced by gradually reducing the density of the colored weft and allowing the white warp to dominate progressively — no dye or printing involved; the ombré is woven directly into the fabric. The color choice defines the starting tone; the fade always ends in white.

Telmessos (also Telmessus; Lycian: Telebehi) was the largest city in Lycia, situated near the Carian border on the southwestern coast of Anatolia. Its well-protected harbor was separated from the Gulf of Telmessos by an island. The city passed through Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods before becoming the Ottoman town of Makri.
